Diana Blevins – Mother – Traveler – Guest Writer – Photographer
Hi everyone here’s a little ditty about Di “Seen through my eyes.”
I’m a 57-year young person who enjoys everyday life as if it was my last.
I’m a mother to a fabulous son. Bryan resides in Colorado and is very proud of my writing achievements for ‘You, Me and The Dock’.
I’ve been very blessed to be healthy, active, and to be able to enjoy my road trips. My road trips consist of 4 bottles of water, 2 Pepsi’s, something salty, something sweet, cruise control, radar detector, and Bob Segar in the background. I’ve been told Bob Segar has a song for what we all are going and/or have gone through in life. I also enjoy classic rock, oldies from the 60’s to 80’s, and driving with the windows down.
My home bases are Texas, Colorado, and California for the last seven years. Hopefully I will either have one home base or possibly live on the road in a motorhome. Nah! I’m too short and probably won’t be able to reach the pedals. So, I believe I’ll stay with my Trail Blazer.
I was on a road trip to the east coast to visit some friends that I hadn’t seen in a very long time. I arrived in Fort Myers Beach, Florida to visit Antonio (a.k.a. Anthony Scopel) and his beautiful wife Mo (a.k.a. Maureen Scopel) at their condo, which is on an island with their own private beach with a fantastic view. Antonio asked, “Would I be interested in joining the team at You, Me and The Dock – travel site as a freelance writer and photographer?” I told myself I’ll try it once because I don’t like living my life on “If’s”.
I took the challenge and to my surprise my first article was good. It was published on December 26, 2015. The name of my first article is called “2015 American Sand Sculpting Championship”, which was held in Fort Myers Beach, Florida. To my surprise when I went to check it out, Antonio was named the author! It has since been corrected, but I enjoy giving Antonio a rash of poop-poop for stealing my article! I am now a successful travel writer with the theme, “Seen through my eyes” on You, Me and The Dock.
