Here we are everyone with our “YMATD Photo Expo – Second Edition 2017! This one is guaranteed to have as many fantastic photos as its previous edition, and possibly even more!
I would like to start this Photo Expo out by dedicating it to the men and women who lost their lives on one of Americas most tragic days ever. The photo pictured right of the World Trade Center Memorial was sent to us by our own Paul Scopel. May they never be forgotten. Rest in peace our fellow Americans.
This true-to-life photograph of Ecuador’s Puerto Lopez bay shows the town’s fishermen caring for their panga boats. The tide seems to be low and reaching the ocean’s edge can be a little difficult.
This photo was sent to us by Tammy Workman of Ft Myers Beach, Florida.
This next set of photos comes from a practicing photographer who especially likes shooting sunrises and sunsets.
Mitzi McGarr has traveled to many exotic and beautiful places. The photo right offers a subtle sunset in St. Thomas.
This fabulous sunrise starts another gorgeous day in St John, BVI. The reflecting light off the water leads your attention towards the scattering clouds forming just off the horizon.
What can be more romantic than watching a spectacular sunset while sitting on a beach in Kauai. The captivating colors and beaming light can only come from Mother Nature herself.
Thank you again Mitzi for bringing us these fabulous photos. We will be looking for more in future Photo Expos.
Lets change the setting for a moment. This photo was sent to us by Luigina Scopel from Italy’s Seren del Grappa Valley.
Luigina took this magnificent photo of Padua, Italy’s municipal building on a late snowy afternoon. Notice how the lingering low-level clouds affect the street lighting.
Italy is such a beautiful country and I can’t wait to visit!
One of Americas most astonishing places is the over 747,000 acres of Yosemite National Park.
Over four million people visit this iconic landmark a year. It spreads its lustrous beauty across Northern California’s Sierra Nevada Mountains. It encompasses majestic waterfalls, wondrous lakes, and sheer granite cliffs. Who hasn’t seen pictures of the great Sequoias standing tall?
This amazing photo – pictured right, was sent to us by Cheryl Roscoe. The partially frozen lake offers a mirrored image of the cliffs standing proud in the foreground.
While on vacation, You, Me and The Dock’s own Brian Hockley – Have camera will travel, took a nice photo op of a couple surfers catching a few waves off California’s San Clemente beach.
It is rare to have such a popular surf location all to yourself. But this surfer timed it perfectly.
Rudi Martens from Vienna, Austria travels the world at any given moment.
The photo – shown left, is Rudi diving in Israel’s beautiful turquoise Mediterranean Sea. While experiencing his underwater adventure, he was paid a visit by a few of the local dolphins.
For our final photo, I would like to send you off with this outrageous Kodak moment that was sent to us by no other than Mitzi McGarr.
When flying into Princess Juliana International Airport on the island of Saint Martin – a.k.a. Sint Maarten on the Dutch side, incoming planes fly directly over the beach. It does create a disruptive sandstorm of sorts.
I want to thank all our readers and followers for making this another great ‘You Me and The Dock Photo Expo’. It couldn’t have happened without your participation.
Thank you again for all the awesome photographs of your adventurous travels to so many fabulous destinations. It gives me great pleasure to publish these incredible moments with full credit going to the photographers themselves.
