You obviously see the photos and videos that make it into our final articles. However, what happens to the ones that don’t make it? The answer is, they wind up on the cutting room floor or filed away.
When an assignment pops up or we find ourselves unexpectedly exploring a new adventure, we always take more photos and video than actually needed. There’s really no predetermined amount.
Just like everything else, we must choose what we think our readers want to see. Hopefully we have selected the ones that best illustrate our adventures.
The following ‘cutting room floor’ photos and videos are leftovers from the past couple years. And again, we are in a situation of having to decide which photos and videos will make it, and which ones won’t. It’s a never ending battle, but someone has to do it!
The following video captures numerous photos and videos that no one else, besides our staff, have ever seen. It took quite a bit of time to go through hundreds of photos and video files. There are so many good ones to choose from. We decided on a mixture of serious and not-so-serious clips that were best suited for this special edition. I also added various labels and on-screen captions that are associated with the photo or video. So, sit back and enjoy our, “Cutting Room Floor Expo!”
