The day I purchased the Corvette, it was unbelievable. I actual did it. You know how many nights I spent dreaming about this day! You’ll never know how many. Now I am entering my first car show. I guess dreams do come true! All I can think about is car show preparation.
Premium Productions is holding their 11th Annual Benefit Corvette & Open Car Show. The event will be held on February 27th at the Gulf Coast Town Center. After I registered and this being my first car show, I made immediate plans to begin the task of detailing every inch of the car – like I don’t already do that anyway!
The car show is on a Saturday, so I started detailing the engine on Tuesday. Then I completely detailed the interior on Wednesday and finished up with the exterior on Thursday. I took Friday to get my things together for Saturday’s all day event.
With all the people who stopped by to talk about the car, it is a wonder that I ever finished. Besides the metallic green and hand painted arrow on the doors, the engine compartment was an attention getter. And lets hope this is true for the judges as well!
I am excited but at the same time nervous as hell. I’m the newbie on the block and I bet it will be so obvious. People who do this professionally or participate regularly will notice my unfamiliar actions! I guess you have to start somewhere.
I have put forth a lot of effort towards the preparations and at the same time, coordinated a video that I hope you will find interesting or at least somewhat amusing. This will be the first of a two-video series. They will be a ‘before and after’ recording leading up to this special event. So, sit back and enjoy the time spent getting the Corvette ready for its debut.
There will be a second blog-article and video to follow. This one will feature the Car Show and my participation. It to will have some fabulous photos, surprising video and interesting dialog. Stay tuned!
